How do I get started on Ziot?

It's FREE and anybody can participate in Ziot's affiliate program whether you are a Bidder or Seller. "It's EASY"...once you register on Ziot as a Bidder or Seller, you can be an affiliate! We call our affiliates "Independent Advertising Agents (IAA)" and we call our affiliate program "Ziot's Advertising Referral Program". Start earning money being an IAA by referring Monthly Sellers and Annual Sellers to Ziot. Our IAAs can earn good extra money via our 10 Level Payout Table.
You will receive $1.00 for each Monthly Membership you refer to Ziot.
A Referral must renew his/her Monthly membership in order for the Month after Month Pay Outs to occur.
A Referral must renew his/her Annual membership in order for the Year after Year Pay Outs to occur (pertaining to all Levels 1-10).
If one of your Monthly membership referrals upgrades to an Annual membership, their Annual membership will be placed on your Level 1 in the 10 Level Payout Table and you will be paid $8.00 as if they originally registered as an Annual member.
Earn a Vehicle - All credited memberships must be from the direct efforts of that IAA (Total # of referrals on Level 1) and not a result of any other Levels in the Ziot compensation plan or promotional program in which qualified candidates are credited to the IAA.
ONLY Annual Memberships are placed in the 10 Level Table.

With a Dutch Auction, the Seller lists several identical items with the minimum price that he/she is willing to accept for each item. The Bidders insert the number of items that they wish to buy and set the price they wish to pay for each item. After the auction ends, the Bidders get their items for the amount of their lowest successful bids.
For example:
Let us assume one of the members offer $275.00 for a VCR. This bid is higher than the others so it becomes a successful bid. The other 9 TVs go to the other Bidders for $250.00.
If Bidders outbid the minimum amount, the bids will increase.
If less than 10 members offer 250.00, only the number of video recorders that meet the reserve of $250.00 will actually sell.
What to do if you are a Seller with a non-paying Bidder or a Bidder with a Seller who will not ship the item.

Any new bid must be greater than the current high bid. The additional amount you are required to bid depends on the amount the Seller inserted while listing the item. The Seller is able to choose the amount of the bid increment so be sure to look at the minimum bid required when bidding on an item.

If the Seller inserts a bid increment of $5.00 for the item, the bids will be as follows:
Why were my images visible but now they are gone?
There are two possibilities:
1. The picture may have accidentally been deleted from the server where it was stored. See if it is still there. If it is gone, uploading it again should fix the problem.
2. The server where your picture is stored is down or having problems. You will need to contact your provider.
Why are the images on my listing not visible?
You may have a typo in your URL website address. The URL website addresses must match exactly what is displayed on the web. They are also case sensitive. For example:
1. If your URL website address has an "a", do not type it as "A".
2. Be sure you have not used a backward slash "\" where there should be a forward slash "/."
3. Make sure your file name ends in ".gif" or ".jpg" or it will not be viewable.
4. You must include the jpg or gif extension on your filename. Most browsers will not be able to view your file if it is not included. If you were to name a picture as Black Bear, be sure to save the picture as "blackbear.jpg". Do not save it just as "blackbear".
5. Avoid using spaces entirely. If you have a picture of a blue truck, save it as "bluetruck" or "blue-truck" or "blue_truck." Do not save it as "blue truck."
6. Or it could be that your picture does not exist on your server space. If this is the case, uploading the picture to your server should fix the problem.

How do I edit or delete my auction?
Go to your account and click on My Current Auctions, click on Edit button next to the listing. You can not change the description of your item if it has already received a bid. If your item has received a bid, you may add to the description or add another picture. To delete your item, click on the End Early button.

How many items can I have in my Ziot Shop and Behind the Stripes?
There is no limit on the number of items you can have in your shop. We have it programmed to show only 20 items in your Behind the Stripes.
What is the difference between "Behind the Stripes" and my "Ziot Shop"?
Behind the Stripes - a place to introduce yourself to other Ziot users. Tell the whole world about yourself; your business, your hobbies, your pets, your likes and dislikes, "you name it". We have it programmed to show only 20 of your listings (optional), most recent feedback and a page view counter so you know how many visitors you have had.
My Ziot Shop - a simple place to stock all of the items in your inventory at no extra cost. As you list items on the auction block, the items automatically show on your shop page. We know that most people want a store to refer their Bidders to so for right now we have created a very quick and simple store program to get all of you started. We know that our store program needs improvement as to you being able to customize your shop with categories, colors, templates, etc so we are open to suggestions for future upgrades.
Can I have my own domain name for my Ziot Shop?
Yes, no problem. First, you will need to set up your Ziot Shop. Your store's web address will be something like:
http://www.ziot.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?user=(yourusername)
If you would like your own domain name, for example, http://www.ShanesDiecastCars.com, then go to GoDaddy.com or any other domain registrar to register your domain name. You can set up email forwarding to your regular email account and website redirection to your Ziot Shop. Different registrars charge different fees for their domain services. If you already have a domain name, you can set it up to forward to your Ziot Shop. Your domain registrar and domain hosting service would provide this option.
Can I list 10 identical items as 10 separate auctions?
No. The Maximum is 3 identical item auctions. If you have more than 3 identical items, please list them as one listing with multiple quantities (Dutch auction). Bidders do not like wading and scrolling through pages of the same item.
How do I let my viewers know that I am on vacation?
Go to your account, under OPTIONS, click on "I AM ON VACATION".
No! Digital cameras make it easier, but not necessary. Pictures taken with a good camera are fine and can be scanned with a $50 scanner. You may go to a drug store and other photo processing centers and ask them to put your pictures on a floppy disk or CD ROM for a few dollars. Make sure the store pictures are in the jpeg format.
How do I accept credit cards from Bidders?
Ziot is integrated with PayPal for credit card transactions. Click here to sign up for your own PayPal account.
Please understand this is merely for your convenience, Not a requirement. Ziot wants to create an environment for Sellers that allows them to choose the method of payment that is convenient for them.
