The Public Has Voted! Zander is Unveiled!

We started searching for a cartoonist to create our Ziot animated zebra mascot. After a lengthy search, we chose to work with David Bamberg.

Dave is a successful cartoonist working with clients across the country. They include IBM, Motorola, Minolta, Linda Talley, Gianna Italian Kitchen, KPMG, Centerpoint Energy, LogoCityTX, RCW Nurseries and Leave it to the Beavers.com.

Being in the spotlight is nothing new to Dave. His dad, Walter Bamberg, had a television show called "Captain Zoomar". It was the number one local kid's show in the US in a small market. It was written about and published in several magazines and in the most recent book, "Hi There Boys and Girls", by Tim Hollis. The show was created in 1959 and based around the inside of a spaceship, which was built on a set in the television station. Every afternoon at 4:00pm, kids would watch the show, enter the contests, and watch "The Three Stooges" or "Little Rascals". Note: we are sad to mention that Walter passed away late in 2008.

After Dave created several different zebras, we asked 100 people to vote for the Zander of their choice. Before they voted we made sure that they knew the purpose of Zander. Zander will be used for promotional items, advertising, stuffed animals, his own toy line, apparel, childrens animated movie, and much more. We will unveil Zander soon!

How Should Sellers Migrate to Ziot?

We at Ziot are comitted to operating a quality online auction site that stands apart from other sites of like kind. One of the ways in which we are striving to stand apart is Customer Service. We at Ziot have received many questions and we believe the answers to those questions would benefit you and/or your business.

THE SITUATION:

Ziot was contacted recently by a pair of brothers that were both power sellers. One brother only sold coins and the other brother sold a wide variety of products.

THE QUESTION:

We pay HUGE listing and commission fees, but our site gives us plenty of exposure so we just chalk that up to advertising expense. Why should we move AND how does Ziot suggest we do it?

Ziot recognizes that there are 2 types of Sellers asking the same question.

THE ANSWER:

1. First of all lets address the brother who only sells to a specific market. The brother who only sells coins has a very large but also a very loyal customer base. These types of power sellers are very lucky and in the best position to take advantage of the Ziot Advertising Referral Program. Why? Because his customers will follow him!

This brother's fees averaged about $1200.00 a month! That's $14,400 a year! This brother had over 4,000 loyal customers.

In this brother's case, Ziot suggests that he become an IAA member and notify his clients that he will be moving to another site in the upcoming weeks. This gives his customers ample notice and he retains the integrity that has taken him so long to earn. This brother would refer his clients to Ziot and he would benefit greatly.

2. The other brother is a different situation. His customers were not as loyal and varied greatly due to the many different types of goods that were offered on his site.

Ziot suggests that he do much the same as his brother. We encourage this brother to retain his status on his current site and slowly move over to Ziot. He had such a large volume of varied goods that his best option was to slowly move each category of goods after having informed his valued customers. This would decrease the listing and commission fees over time as well as increase his income through referrals to Ziot.
